Iphoto books

2008-06-28 Thread john carlson

Hi Folks
Does anyone know whether it is possible to order iPhoto books through
iphoto?
Attempts have been SNAFUd at trying to put in Western Australia as a
state or province on the order form.
Can Books be ordered from outside the United States? If so, can anyone
tell me how?
Alternatively doe anyone know of someone other than Apple able to deal
with iphoto books for printing?

Re: Iphoto books

2008-06-28 Thread Eugene

Hi John,

yes you do order your book via iPhoto. If Australia doesn't show up
on the list of countries from which you can order the book then you
need to update your version of iPhoto.

The books although ordered here in Australia are however printed in
the US.

A few other places are setting up PhotoBook printing. DigiLife do one
but it isn't full bleed and not nearly as impressive as the Apple
product.

An online solution like http://www.metrophoto.com.au/ offer this
service (and also very cheap standard prints).

My recommendations however is to persevere with the Apple solution if
you want quality.

  Eugene

Hi Rod,

did one last night and it appears to be processed in Australia

A word of warning to others that like Rod you must have version
7.1.2 of iPhoto otherwise the order form doesn't recognise Australia.

iPhoto books

2004-05-03 Thread Severin Crisp
IPhoto4 has a very nice built in facility for making books of photos
for display or peeling off as PDFs or whatever. However it is too cute
for it's own good and sets the photos out on varying numbers per page
which you have to manually edit to change. There seems no way of
saying, for example, just one per page. this is especially a
nuisance with collections of pictures of varying shapes and sizes where
you get anything from one to six per page with various cute layouts.

Does anyone know how to setup and freeze a particular layout?
