Yes Ronni but not quite what I wanted.

I want to download them to iTunes initially.  That is easy.

I then want to export the mp3 files from iTunes to a folder on my iPhone.

Can't find how to doit.

i thought that itunes recognises when the iphone is connected (bluetooth/usb) 
and then you have the export function available (synchronise)
i'm using a samsung  mine uses the usb cable, the phone memory appears like an 
external storage, thus i can drag/drop the files i want to shift
