Mayberry Night in Troy, NC
Hey, Mayberry friends. We had such a great time at Mayberry Night in Troy, NC this past Sat. night. I got to meet some great Mayberry fans and the tribute artists and Rodney Dillard and his band were at their best. I even got to speak with a real live movie star! (Patty Browning). Do you know why old time sea captains wear red shirts and brown pants? If you were there you'll know. Thanks to Jeff Branch and his friends for making it happen. Mayberry Night at Oakboro Cruise-In
I went to Oakboro, NC to attend Mayberry Night at the Oakboro Cruise-In this past Saturday night. I not only got to meet the Mayberry tribute artists, but I also had the privilege of meeting Maggie Peterson and Rodney Dillard. Maggie is a delightful and gracious lady. She greeted everyone with a warm smile that made you feel like you had known her all your life. Rodney's new CD is great, and he was kind enough to autograph one for me. I also met Allan Newsome in person, and his portrayal of Floyd is perfection ! And David Browning as Barney was fantastic !
