2014-05-14 Thread Bob Castrucci

married to AndyI know, that was actually Mayberry RFD. Just wanted to
get my 2 cents in there. Have a great day.

RE: WBMUTBB Digest, Vol 15, Issue 142 TV Theme Songs

2014-05-14 Thread Janet Leanda Bowlin
Not to be prideful or bragging or anything, but I can sing the entire theme
song to Beverly Hillbillies AND Green Acres.
One of my most outstanding talents. That and an ability to count money.

What the three women had in common

I believe they are referring to what the actresses had in common-not their
characters.

Disney trivia

2014-05-14 Thread Paul Mulik
Recently I asked if anyone could name a title character from a Disney animated
feature film. Let me clarify this. Dopey the dwarf has been correctly named so
far. However, all of the other characters I'm thinking of are from Disney
films which were made AFTER The Andy Griffith Show. So, at the time the
character's name was mentioned, they were not Disney characters, but they are
today. I hope this makes sense. Some, but not all, are fairy tale characters.
Who can name the others?

Nice Dress Nellie Sighting

2014-05-14 Thread Janet Anderson
I'm so proud right now (just like Ernest T. was when he got his certificate for
learning)! I just spotted an appearance of Nice Dress Nellie that isn't listed
in the Mayberry Historical Society. It's in the episode The Barbershop
Quartet from season seven. When Andy's quartet is singing on stage, the
camera cuts to the audience. We see Opie, Aunt Bee, Floyd, and Howard. After
Howard are two male extras who are familiar from other episodes, and after them
on the very end of the row is Nice Dress Nellie. I don't have a user account
with the Historical Society, so I figured I'd let someone else add that episode
to her list. Thelma Lou(Janet)
