HI
Hello fellow TAGS lovers. It seems that we are not doing justice to this wonderful site. I know that I don't write in often. But I do love to read what everyone else has written. Okay since it is the start of summer...I want to read the stories from Ken Anderson and the parades. Paul Mulik and his knowledge of TAGS is beyond compare. I only get to read the stories when I am at work, it helps make the nights go faster. People having TAGS sightings on other show are fun to know about. I had two sightings today on Petticoat Junction: Roy Roberts and Charles Lane. The Petticoat Junction show is one I had never seen before, several of the last episodes I have never seen. The other sighting is obvious it is from The Beverly Hillbillies: Buddy Ebsen. The METV channel is great for seeing old shows that I love to watch. Seeing old movies on GETTV and MovieTVNetwork. Around Mother's day I saw Love Nest, Marilyn Monroe was in the movie and so was Dabbs Greer, he was just in one scene. I want to wish Andy Griffith and Marilyn Monroe an early birthday, June 1, 1926. Miss them, but I still get to watch TAGS and see the movies. TAGS fan Margaret Floyd: I'm going to Nashville. Margaret: I already live in Nashville. _ __ For information pertaining to Willis' email confidentiality and monitoring policy, usage restrictions, or for specific company registration and regulatory status information, please visit http://www.willis.com/email_trailer.aspx We are now able to offer our clients an encrypted email capability for secure communication purposes. Mayberry in the Midwest
Having just read Paul's post about the event, I add a hear! hear! to his observation about Mayberry fans - they truly are the best. (I guess it should be read! read! since he typed it). Here are my notes from this weekend... Despite the rain on Saturday, I would say a good time was had by all attendees at Mayberry in the Midwest last weekend. Danville's downtown was quite festive in red, white and blue and the tribute artists were at their entertaining best. It is always fun to watch someone light up when they see them. A few of my highlights... - Having Paul Mulick and his son Carson join our table for dinner on Saturday night - Hearing Keith Brown's original Mayberry character poems - Aunt Bee's Fried Chicken at the Mayberry Cafe - Meeting Karen Knotts' mother, who grew up in (I think) Lebanon, Indiana - Listening to Eric, Jeff, Phil and Steve practice and jam in the hotel lobby We had a small but enthusiastic crowd of early risers at the 13th Annual Mayberry Squad Car Nationals on Sunday morning. There were eight squad cars that competed plus an honorary, and very fast, run by the Hendricks County DARE officer. His patrol car must have come from Mount Pilot (it was quite nice). As it turned out, the best times were determined less by horsepower and more by who could chew gum and tie off the free balloons that Weaver's Dept. Store was giving away (go figure!). A big thank you to all the drivers, runners, tribute artists and volunteers who helped make the MSCN another fun event. Congratulations to Walt and Marilyn McClellan and their 1960 Squad Car as this years winner of the Ricky Carnes Memorial Championship trophy.
