Elizabeth Busby asked when Terri Garr and Arte Johnson were on TAGS. Terri Garr was in 'The Wedding', this is the episode where Howard's Mother gets married and he invites the others over for a house-warming party. Goober asks Terri if she wants to go to the party and she looks and says 'Huh!'. The whole time she is twirling her hair. This scene is usually cut. Arte Johnson was the hotel desk clerk in 'Andy and Barney in the Big City'. He gives them the hotel key and he also gives the lady her jewels out of the safe. In response to David Quinn's question/challenge of when TAGS characters told an outright lie---the one that comes to mind is Andy calling his insufferable Uncle Ollie and tells him escaped convicts have been spotted on the outskirts of Mayberry. This was right after Andy found out the convicts had been captured. As hard as it is to imaging Andy lying, I sure could understand it in this case. TAGS on ESPN
I am a big fan of ESPN's Saturday Collage Game Day. I had just turned it on when they were showing some sports personality trying to ride a motorcycle. They all started laughing and one of the commentators mentioned how it reminded him of Barney Fife. So they went into a discussion about how much they enjoyed TAGS. One never knows when TAGS will pop up in discussions. We put the squad car away in winter storage this morning. Is was 9 degrees with several inches of fresh snow on the ground.
