I guess I never put the pieces together before, but when I was watching the Crime Free Mayberry episode the other day, they alluded to Barney's birthday being in July. When he was selecting a medal he mentioned maybe wanting something in rubies since it was his birthstone. Rubies are the birthstone of July. I guess I will have to become more of a trained noticer.
