I was looking at a DVD that had a collection of ELVIS PRESLEY's history. On one, it showed a 1956 episode from the STEVE ALLEN SHOW. There was a funny Western skit that had ANDY GRIFFITH along with STEVE ALLEN, IMOGENE COCA and none other than a young ELVIS PRESLEY, who was 21 at the time. Does anybody remember seeing this? GOLDEN ROOSTER
I was watching the episode where JEFF PRUITT comes to town to look for a wife. It's funny how you can see a show dozens of times and yet see something you've never seen before. I saw in the backgjround, there was a place called the GOLDEN ROOSTER SNACK BAR. It's nice to know that MAYBERRY has more places to eat than just the DINER. In December of 2002, I was able to obtain the toaster that sat on the counter in AUNT BEE's kitchen. I got it at an Ebay auction. Go to Ebay, or other auction sites and enter TV props or ANDY GRIFFTH props in the search box. There's all kinds of TV and movie memorabilia being sold by auction. I had a pleasant morning today. BETTY LYNN was interviewed on KY-3 news in Springfield. She will be in MARSHFIELD, MO tomorrow for a charity event. She was born in my hometown of KANSAS CITY. Scientific Questions
For years scientists have wondered have tried to answer many questions such as: Is there life on other planets? and Where did we come from? While they have solved many of life's riddles, there are some questions they haven't solved such as: 1. Why does BARNEY want to take THELMA LOU to the Duck Pond? 2. Who is MR. SCHWUMP and what is his purpose in life? 3. Do blondes-from-a-bottle have more fun? 4. Are AUNT BEE's pickles really made out of kerosene? 5. When most people think of BARNEY FIFE, they think of a bumbling, goofy deputy. But what they don't realize, is that no matter how afraid, or bumbling he might have been, he was always willing to put his life in danger to protect his friends. BARNEY and his BULLET
Back in the 1970's I used to be a Security Guard. I stood guard or patrolled at banks, warehouses, hospitals, etc. Because of BARNEY, I always carried a bullet in my shirt pocket. I made sure the bullet was always shiny. BARNEY always stressed Bullet Maintenance. It's funny how one person can have such an impact on so many people. Fortunately, DON KNOTTS had a good impact. It's a shame that life has too be short, but sooner or later, we all have to go back to the GOD who Created us. Thanks for the memories, DON!
