Yet earlier Barney asks Andy what time it is when Thelma Lou arrives at the
reunion at 10:30 pm. It would realistically be at least 11:00 pm by the time
Andy and Barney would be leaving the

summer.

It makes ya thank!

Re: An Interesting Upcoming Gig

2012-07-19 Thread ridestherange
Sounds like a fun gig. The portion about the police probably not
noticing if you did it briefly gave me a giggle. Have fun with your
presentations and driving gig.

It is hot...let's go to the gas station and get a soda, they're cold...I
remember an episode of the Taylors sitting on the front porch exclaiming
how hot it was and Gomer or Goober, can't remember, suggesting to Andy
to go get a soda at the station. Better yet, Aunt Bea suggesting ice cream.

Good News and Bad News for Mr. Anderson - The Mayberry Guru

My sincere condolences for the loss of your friend. Congratulations on

The good news is The Mayberry Guru and Squad Car won first prize at the
big parade we took part in last weekend. They will be sending me a nice
plaque. I think it was handing out all those citations for tattoos that
did the trick. When I cite them for that I always ask if they have ever
seen anyone in Mayberry with a tattoo and the answer is always no. I have
a presentation to give next Thursday at a senior citizen apartment complex
for an annual event they have. No parades for a few weeks no so the car
can get a rest.

Thank you for telling us about the tour, Mr. Friskey. Here is an Andy

has a nice, two-page write up on Mr. Griffith in the beginning of the

was eluded to or mentioned on TAGS a couple of times.

That would be understandable and sound plausable.  However, not to be
disagreeable but, Andy did not contract Guillaine-Barre syndrome until
1983 and was effected for seven months.  At least that is according to the
sources that I have referenced.

Hi Everyone,

Just a little introduction. I'm Kim and a newbie to the group but a devoted
veteran watcher of TAGS. Your mailing group is so enjoyable and my sincere
appreciation for allowing my membership in your wonderful group. I have found
myself cackling nearly out loud at some to the posts. It has also brought out
observations that I may or may not have noticed.

In reference to Mr. Dewey's observations I wish to comment. It has truly been
a pleasure to observe many of the actors and actresses in other character
roles. Frances Bavier and Helen Corby were excellent in some western roles.
And of course Denver Pyle and James Best were great in their western roles, in
addition to their stint on the Dukes of Hazzard. I was wondering what other
roles they may have been involved with in addition to TAGS and the westerns?

Has anyone seen Andy Griffith's skit role on the Steve Allen Show with Imogene
Cocoa and Elvis Presley? Last night, while viewing Mr. Anderson's videos on
YouTube (The chicken trick was great!), someone has posted the pilot episode of
TAGS (on a Father Knows Best episode??) and other videos of Mr. Griffith on
This is Your Life. Great videos that I had not seen (a child of the early
sixties.)

Thank you all very much for such an enjoyable group, all the info and the
laughs.
