Barney's taste Buds must be off b/c again tonight he drinks a dipper of water and doesn't realize it's moonshine. Another time Otis spiked the spring water and, again, Barney never noticed.
Now I've never even been near moon shine or corn squeezin's or whatever you want to call it, but I imagine he'd smell it before tasting and I'm told the taste has a kick you notice right off.
