I've noticed the same thing about Darren's mother and Howard Sprague's  
mother.  And she also has a strange resemblance to Donald's mother on That  
Girl.  Same twig?

Bewitched

I think it is rather obvious why TV Land is so gunho on Betwitched.  I thing 
Samantha Stevens and Mayberry's Count came from the same twig on the family 
tree.  Throughout all the begatting that took place somewhere along the way 
the Count and Samantha got related.  Throw in the witchcraft in Andy's 
family and the whole thing makes sense.  I know I have this Count 
compellsion, but to me the whole thing is intertwined somehow.
