Mayberry's finest
Allen, is this ok to post? I don't want to violate the green river ordinance I have cleaned out my pantry and discovered extra pouches of Mayberry' s Finest muffin mixes. I have used several pouches as decor in my Mayberry kitchen, but I have no more room. If anyone is interested, I'll ship them out to you- just help me with the postage. They are past the use by date, so I wouldn't eat them, but they liven up a kitchen nicely! I have 2 cinnamon toast, 2 chocolate chip cookie dough, a peach cobbler, and a buttermilk biscuit mix. Hey Debbie, I had the opportunity to taste the blueberry muffins last year at Mayberry on Main, and they were TASTY! But I have not tried anything canned, so I cannot comment on those. MAYBERRY'S FINEST
I have actually ordered twice from Mayberr'y Finest. Of course, everybody LOVES all the muffin and pancake mixes, but my wife and myself, and even my teenage daughter (the last of 4 kids at home) loved it, especially the sausage gravy and the chicken n' dumplings. Everything that I have tried I think is really good. I'm just waiting for some local store to start carrying them, it will be much nicer that way(and cheaper too). To change the subject a little, I would vote for Gomer and Mary Grace as the best dancers--hands down. They could sure cut a rug. I see that someone wants to know if someone else has purchased the Mayberry's Finest foods. After searching forever and finally locating a store about an hour away. I went and purchased 2 of everything they had. I said that unless someone asks I won't tell of my opinion because I love all things Mayberry but since someone did ask. I'll give my opinion and it is just mine and my husbands opinion...All of the packaged foods in the bags suchs as the muffin mix, Cornbread mix, etc...those we're all great, but I am sorry to say that all of the canned foods were not just bad but not edible. I had to throw the contents away. I kept the containers to use for display and was so dissapointed. My husband thought maybe they just had the food on thier shelf too long but I can't make myself try again. The line (mostly canned goods and dry mixes to start with) is being introduced at a big food industry trade show early next week. The products themselves will be hitting grocery store shelves later this summer.
