Opie Crying

2015-08-04 Thread Larry Hamrick
Hey Mayberry friends. I know of once in the courthouse when Opie told his Pa
that he was crying and couldn't stop. In the same scene Opie was throwing a
tantrum on the courthouse floor, but I'm not sure if he was crying. His Pa told
him to not get is clothes all dirty. (Opie and the Spoiled Kid)Larry in

Opie Crying and other splashes

2008-03-28 Thread GRITTON, JOE A (ATTOPS)

A few days ago we were talking about the few times that Opie cried.

In the early color episode where he battled the other boy for the job
delivering groceries at Mr. Doaks's store...he nearly cried when Andy
thought he had gotten fired for wanting to play baseball. He puckered
up, but I don't think I saw a tear.

For the person that wanted the pilot episode, look for Season 5 of Make
Room for Daddy on the internet. I found the whole season for 5 or 6
bucks. It was worth that to me to get that pilot.

That fella from Indiana that mentioned those TV stations that show
mainly BW...what Market/cable carrier are you in?

I feel for those who just have TVL. I have said before that this is not
the place of TVL bashing, and I stand by that, but I'm sympathetic to
the venting. In the Indy market WXIN, a local station, carries our
favorite show at noon, and then I think at night some times. Even
though I have all the DVD's there's just something therpetic about
turning it on when its broadcasting and know that some of you, and other
fans are watching it at the same time.

Paul made some good points about the value of it being on the air as
well.

Opie Crying

2008-03-17 Thread Marie

Now I have another question: Opie really cried in Opie the Birdman. Was
there any other episodes that he cried in?

Good question! I think he may have cried in a Medal for Opie when he didn't
win the race. He has pouted a few times, but never actually cried.

Don't forget he cried in The Spoiled Kid episode where he wanted to
continue getting his 25ยข allowance w/o working for it. His friend showed
him how to cry to get what he wants. LOL!

Just kidding b/c I know he was faking

Opie crying

2008-03-17 Thread Bobby Williams
Seems like I remember that he puddled up a little bit when Andy was trying to
get him to say Mr. McBeevee was just make believe. Don't remember if the tears
actually fell or not.

And on another note, saw in our Sunday paper where a lot of stuff not allowed
was found in a Pine Bluff, Arkansas jail during a shakedown the other day.
Barney would have been proud!

I don't recall actually seeing tears, but Opie sniffled when he gave up the
grocery job to help that little boy whose family needed the income. It was
at the end of a line to his Pa and always make me tear up too.

When visiting Mayberry, don't forget to stop at Bert Miller's Roadside Stand .
No pushy salesman, no ringing doorbells. Just high quality merchandise.
