 I might be wrong, as I am so often, but the actor, who played Alice's 
boyfriend on The Brady Bunch, was one of Phil Silvers' buddies in Sgt. Bilko. 
Am I wrong again or am I right for once?

Ken, 
You have summed up almost poetically what I have felt for so long but
haven't been able to put into words about my Mayberry (Dallas, N.C.) which
is long gone from the world and now is full of Highway bypasses, fast food
restaurants, subdivisions, gated communities, and no one lifts a hand to
wave as they go by but Mayberry (TAGS) and this digest keeps it alive for
me.
