[libreoffice-website] checksums

2011-04-18 Thread Florian Effenberger

Hi,

this is a user feedback we might incorporate on the website.

Subject:RE: Libre-office's anti-checksum policy as a malware window

Thanks, Florian. But there's no way an ordinary user like me would get
into a directory. The download link on the home page leads to
www.libreoffice.org/download, not download.libreoffice.org. Even
choosing English as a download language stays in the
www.libreoffice.org/download thread, not the directory one that does
list checksums if details is clicked. It's much easier to find checksums
on the openoffice.org download page.

Re: [libreoffice-website] Introducing myself

2011-04-18 Thread Friedrich Strohmaier
Hi Alin, *,

First of all: Welcome to the LibreOffice project.
Sorry for the delay though.

I'm interested in helping out with management/operations of the
back-end infrastructure necessary to be handled and operated for this
project. In particular I'm interested to be involved in one or more
 of the following areas:
 - Linux or AIX systems administration.
 - new systems provisioning, installation and deployment
 - complete infrastructure monitoring
 - storage infrastructure management
 - data protection (backup/restore) and disaster recovery planing
 - virtualization
 - infrastructure for mirroring and data replication

That sounds great.

Please feel free to contact me directly (via e-mail) in case you think
I might be able to help in any of these areas.

As we don't have a defined way of becoming an admin yet, we'll contact
You that way within the next days.

Gruß/regards

[libreoffice-website] Fwd: Sourceforge Calendar of Open Source Software Events

2011-04-18 Thread Marc Paré
I posted this on the marketing list and thought that maybe it would be
interesting to post it on the website list.

FYI, Sourceforge has a Calendar of Open Source Software Events. It may
be in our interest to keep an eye on it for LibreOffice marketing planning.

In fact, it would be neat if we could have our own Google agenda
calendar with our events and add the Sourceforge calendar events to our
calendar. We could post the marketing calendar either on our wiki or our
website.

We would then benefit from the large group at Sourceforge to keep us
appraised of open source events. It would make it easier for us to plan
for unforeseen events.

http://sourceforge.net/blog/calendar-of-open-source-software-events/

Would it be possible to do this on our wiki or website? We would have
our own Google Calendar and have the Sourceforge calendar events
imported/published to our Calendar?

I am just putting this out for discussion.

Cheers

Marc
