As we should have a new version more compatible with smartphone screens
by the end of the day, it's probably better to wait for it before doing
anything on your side.
I have just added your textual modifications: that was easy and should
save unnecessary work. The main problem is the modification of the links

Hi Camille, the fact that all screens are looking like Apple screens is
somehow disturbing for a number of LibreOffice users.

I personally do not see this as a major problem, but if we can find a
compromise we would avoid unnecessary frictions.

One solution could be to tweak the color, as the aluminium is the Apple
distinctive color for desktop computers.

Anyway, not a real problem, but something to consider if we have enough
time.

The foot size, shape, and position, the bezel width on the front

all pretty recognizable as the Apple design.

Anyway, not a real problem, but something to consider if we have enough

I'd classify it as a philosophy issue, not a technical issue. If we
want to bill LibreOffice as the premiere FLOSS office suite, should we
use the front page to display hardware designs from companies who are
friendly to Free, Libre and Copyleft software, or should we display
hardware from Apple?

[libreoffice-website] [Bug 60766] New: BUGZILLA: Remove Android Impress Remote Versions

2013-02-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60766

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 60766
CC: website@global.libreoffice.org
  Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: BUGZILLA: Remove Android Impress Remote Versions
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: WWW
   Product: LibreOffice

I am not happy with the current solution for this, the Versions between the
LibO versions make the system unclear, that might break Queries, look
Will we get Versions for Dictionaries here, too? :-/

That can't work!

If we want to track AIR Version related bugs (currently I don't think that that
really is necessary, but I do not know very much concerning that project), we
should Ask FDO for a new Product.

A Component should have some kind of Sub Components (please also see Bug
60059), I can't find anything on
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport_Detail
Are there already some ideas/plans?

I think there should be some Mailing list discussion with creation of some Wiki
manual in parallel as we had when we created the LibO Version
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/2012-June/001822.html)

As a first step to integrate this new feature I created a new PRESENTATION Sub
Component for problems with Impress (not the AIR) related to remote control:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=BugReport_Detailsdiff=63190oldid=62665,
what already finds some Bugs here
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advancedcomponent=Presentationproduct=LibreOfficeshort_desc=REMOTEshort_desc_type=allwordssubstrlist_id=231008.

Please feel free to improve wording if you think precision of hits can be
improved.
