Hi Kathryn,
I have sponsored you to the web group and gave you also write access to the
web repository.
Please have a look at our wiki pages [1] and the docs on pagure [2] in
order to setup your system correctly and learn how we build the pages for
Fedora.
I am sure you won't have problems with our code, but if you have doubts or
are unsure about the side-effects of some commits, please ask, specially
when you push stuff directly to production. I'd advice you to make PRs the
first times, if you want to work on major changes I'm happy to help you if
needed.
Finally, consider joining #fedora-websites whenever you can, most of our
discussions happen there (not the whole day, so don't expect discussions at
any time). We don't hold meetings, except for special occasions, these
would be announced on the mailing list.
Welcome to Fedora websites, I'm looking forward to meet you soon on IRC.
Kind regards

Hi Patrick,
nice to hear you want to join us.

I guess you have already looked at our join page [1], where you find
most of the informations needed to join the websites group. We use
mainly Python, Genshi and JS for our pages, but it would be also a
good idea taking a look at the 960 grid system [2], because you will
find many divs in our sources.

You are free to start immediately working on tickets, read how it
works [3] and see easyfix [4] at the beginning or our Trac [5]. You
can send your patches there.

Please ask if you have any doubts and say hello on IRC channel
#fedora-websites, located on the freenode server.

Hi Kévin,

Thanks for the response.

Yes, I am familiar with Python/genshi, Ruby/Haml/Sass (haven't used much,
but yeah, "can do" when necessary).
I am subscribing the websites list, and will keep track on the incoming
issues - get myself used to in this ecosystem, for the time being.

Regards, and thanks again for the links.

Hi Soumya,

Quite late but here is a response.
Are you familiar with python, genshi?
Have you any particular idea of what to improve or build?
You can checkout the website as explained on the wiki[2] and see how it is
made.
The main website is build using the 960 grid system[3].

Open tickets are on our track[1] instance, but more request come through the
mailing list.
You could join us in the #fedora-websites channel on the freenode irc node.

Hello Harvish,

Welcome to Fedora Websites team!

Have a look at Fedora Insight [1]. The Insight project is described in
wiki [2].

Apart from this we have an immediate plan to configure and adapt
Drupal distrubution callled COD [3] ( Conference Organization
Distribution ), for FUDCon Pune, India 2011 [4].

Also have a look at this[5] thread so you get the idea what we are
trying to achieve.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hatem,

Welcome to the team.

I'm curious to know more about this "multi tasking web environment",
you mentioned. Are there any examples of this?

Was there a current project/task you saw which interested you?

You can find us in #fedora-websites on Freenode.
