Yes, I know you posted those, but we need to see the values in the daily
summary for the same time periods.

Please notice in the last one how there's a sudden 9.2 value after hours of
no rain, in my view it's those bogus values that are discarded by WU/PWS
but they stay in the db.

Re: [weewx-user] Re: How do you enable forecast in Weewx-wdc

2024-01-07 Thread Dominic Reich

I think it is possible but not worth the hassle (for non-developers like
me).

The api reports wind gust, so there should be a way to create an
extra row in the forecast_table.inc (and maybe more) files from the
weewx-forecast extension.

from a Vantage Pro2 connected to a D-Link DIR-505 loaded with Meteobridge
(vantage is connected to the Meteobridge via USB). All is well except I
cannot get the website to autoload new data (I have to keep hitting refresh
on my web browser). I have played around with the archive interval, but
have had no success.

any idea's how to make this work?

Re: [weewx-user] Re: Why the rain 'spikes'?

2024-01-07 Thread Tom Keffer
It's possible the errant values are in the daily summaries, but not the
main archive table. The former is used for the NOAA reports, the latter for
the WU posts.

I don't know your timezone, but I imagine something like this:

select dateTime, datetime(dateTime, 'unixepoch', 'localtime'), rain from
archive where dateTime > 1694822400 and dateTime <= 1694908800;
select dateTime, datetime(dateTime, 'unixepoch', 'localtime'), sum from
archive_day_rain where dateTime > 1694822400 and dateTime <= 1694908800;

[weewx-user] Re: RS485 Pyranometer and Weewx

2024-01-07 Thread Karen K
I have got another device that uses an RS485 interface. I use an RS485 to
LAN converter from W . It
depends on the protocol they use, but may be the MQTTSubscribe
driver/service  can read
the data into WeeWX.

[weewx-user] Re: Error: invalid read_period in get_records

2024-01-07 Thread Ξ
Hi Mario,

I have no idea what's going on :)
However it appears your weather station is a rebranded Fine Offset one
which means you're likely using the fousb driver, if that's indeed the case
you can look up these topics (I found them by searching for the error
message you've posted):
https://groups.google.com/g/weewx-user/c/6B897_FcdsY/m/K0vV22x1L8gJ
https://groups.google.com/g/weewx-user/c/3k1fU4taNtc/m/Ae6YlLjzx1cJ

basically, try changing polling interval as advised in these threads.

Regards,

Ivo

[weewx-user] Re: Packetsloop aggregation weewx

2024-01-07 Thread Remy Lavabre
Thank you for the answer ! Perfect...

Only two questions still bothers me:

- 1/ I added an “XField” field to my weewx.sdb database. This XField
corresponds to a simple parameter such as temperature or pressure. It is
incorporated into the "PacketsLoop".

Do we absolutely have to declare [Accumulator] in weewx.sdb as follows:

*[Accumulator] ... [[XField]] accumulator = scalar
 adder = add merger = minmax extractor = last*

or are there default parameters in weewx in a (new) field of unknown type
in a database?

- 2/ Concerning "PacketsLoop": the weewx documentation stipulates that they
can be complete (all fields in the database) or partial.

But are the two PacketsLoops below interpreted in the same way?

data1 = {'dateTime': mydatetime, 'usUnits': 'METRIC', 'outTemp': '31',*
'outHumidity': None*, 'dewpoint': '28'}
data2 = {'dateTime': mydatetime, 'usUnits': 'METRIC', 'outTemp': '31',
'dewpoint': '28'}

Thank you for your help - Kind regards
