Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24789 (project wesnoth):

i alredy tried to fix the outdated ububtu version by using docker, but i was
stopped by an outated docker version used which didn't suport all flags
mentioned on the docker wiki, specially '--build-arg'.

Details:

Our travis c++14 build currently fails.

I know that wesnoth compiles successfully on c++14 mode on Ubuntu Xenial 

I know that is is possible to use Ububtu Xenial on traivs via docker

So one possible solution would be to make our build use Ububtu Xenial via
docker, another solution could be to update the used boost libraries to 1.58
or later some other way.
