+1 on break it into sections. I'm happy to write the ones on
localization and scalability/clustering (as my reference manual has made
little progress since I've been trying to solve the clustering issues)

[Wicket-user] Kick-start project?

2005-04-15 Thread Per Ejeklint
Hi all, is there an empty Eclipse-project to use as a start for new
Wicket-applications floating around somewhere? I think I read about it
somewhere but can't find one.

OK, lekker!
I just found Wicket today and after only two hours of reading/code
browsing I'm in love. :-) It looks very promising, just my kind of
web-app framework. Hope to be able to contribute one day.

Hi Per,
You are right, there used to be an Eclipse quickstart project. This
has moved to the Wicket-stuff project, and will be released this
weekend together with RC2. I hope you can wait until that time.

Keep a look out on the mailing list for information when the project
is released.

seems like kick-start might be a better name for this... isn't that the

It would be really cool if there was a version of Appfuse
(https://appfuse.dev.java.net/) that used Wicket as the view. Currently,
there are versions for Struts, Spring, Webwork, and Tapestry.

Yep. Who'll bug Matt though, as I think he is the one who decides which
frameworks are supported...

Especially the sub project 'Equinox' would be a breeze to develop
(basically, it's a simple CRUD app with a pageable list).

[Wicket-user] wicket-contrib-examples is missing commons-logging dependency

2005-04-15 Thread Jonathan Carlson
I think wicket-stuff/wicket-contrib-examples/project.xml needs
commons-logging added to its dependencies.

I know I have CVS access but my employer is blocking all SSH ports
right now :-(
