You change the signature somehow of the Session metadata field.So it can't restore the state that tomcat did save to disk.This is something that can't be helped much if you really alter structures/classes.It will then be much harder to just restore the session that where stored on disk when tomcat shutsdown. Your websession seems to add a MetaData entry which is not serializable.
