Hi 

Currently we are doing this within our wicket application:

getWicketServlet().getServletContext().getRealPath(/);

Im wondering if there are a more wicketly kind of approach to this?

Nope, that's the way to do it. In 1.3 you can get the servlet context
directly from the application object.
