I fixed this at some point. The reason why the URL still looks broken is that
wgGrammarThings is applied only per language for some reason.

Only solution I can imagine is adding some magic message, which can change
which type we show in the list.

Example MediaWiki:preferences-memberof-type:
name: User::getGroupName() aka Administrators, Users...
member: User::getGroupMember() aka Adminstrator, User...

[Bug 17155] New: Category counter not updated on article deletion

2009-01-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17155

   Summary: Category counter not updated on article deletion
   Product: MediaWiki
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: All
   URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Articles_for_delet
ion
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
  Severity: minor
  Priority: Normal
 Component: Categories
AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
ReportedBy: paul.copper...@googlemail.com

In Article::doDeleteArticle(), the code for updating the category counters is
executed after the delete on the categorylinks table, so the query

   # Fix category table counts
   $cats = array();
   $res = $dbw-select( 'categorylinks', 'cl_to', array( 'cl_from'
 = $id ), __METHOD__ );

will never return a result. Thus, the category counters aren't updated at all
on article deletions.

[Bug 17156] New: Provide a way to use custom editnotices for pages with slashes '/' in the title

2009-01-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17156

   Summary: Provide a way to use custom editnotices for pages with
slashes '/' in the title
   Product: MediaWiki
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: Normal
 Component: User interface
AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
ReportedBy: paul.copper...@googlemail.com

MessageCache::loadFromDB() explicitly excludes all pages with slashes, so
messages like [[MediaWiki:Editnotice-0-Foo/bar]] are not loaded regularly.
Although it is possible to force the message in the cache with ?action=purge,
it is not very convenient to do this every day.

So it would be nice, if you could replace the slash with an other character
(perhaps '\'), so you can use the message [[MediaWiki:Editnotice-0-Foo\bar]] to
specify a custom edit notice for [[Foo/bar]].
