I just reviewed all settings and installation instructions do confirm the collections settings. These are used for two versions on a wiki farm: a) r59858 on http://biowikifarm.net/meta/Special:Version b) r67607 on http://biowikifarm.net/test/Special:Version When book collection is started on testwiki (using FF 3.6.3, signed in as user to the wiki, cookies and js all enabled), the error message shown above appears. Testing collection on metawiki to confirm the settings, all works well (collecting and PDF creating). Going BACK to testwiki, no error message appears any longer, as if a session is now re-used? However, book collection, without any error messages, does not work. The collection portlet on top is present, but no pages can be added. When trying again with IE8 on testwiki, same message appears - since no session had been initiated. This may explain why some were unable to reproduce the error - reproducing probably needs cookies to be deleted. thank you for you help! [Bug 23838] New: Allow specyfing custom email sender
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23838 Summary: Allow specyfing custom email sender Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: Email AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: avbid...@fortytwo.ch Hi, By default, Mediawiki sends email (tested: email address verification mails, watched page changes) with an envelope from address of the user name the webserer runs as (often www-data@hostname.) There are various reasons why this should be something different, not least of all sender address verification. (It is not always useful / sensible to make the Wiki server accept email from the outside, and also the wiki server often should not have the organisation's domain name as its official mail name.) So, please, * either allow mediawiki to just use whatever is used for the From: header as envelope, too * or to specify a hard-coded envelope sender address. Currently, both would be ok for my usecase, but other applications might of course vary. If the feature exists, it should be documented ... I couldn't find it, and the folks in #mediawiki apparently didn't know it either... https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23843 Summary: Add another argument in SpecialRandompage.php to allow exclusion of blank pages Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: Special pages AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: tisane2...@gmail.com Presently, exclusion of blank pages from the Random Page special page is implemented as a separate special page, Special:RandomExcludeBlank, in Extension:PureWikiDeletion (see http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/extensions/PureWikiDeletion/SpecialPureWikiDeletion.php?view=markup ), whose code is a fork of SpecialRandomPage.php. Rather than forking the code, it seems like it would be better to just add a boolean argument in the core that, if true, would cause blank pages to be excluded. There might be other wikis not using PureWikiDeletion that nonetheless have some blank pages they would want to exclude from showing up on Random Page requests. I suppose the easiest implementation would be to select a random page, check to see if it's blank, and if it is, then select a different random page; and keep doing that until a non-blank page is found. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. Notice: Undefined index: original-value in C:\Data\htdocs\smw\extensions\Validator\Validator.class.php on line 228 This results in an empty map and a non-responsive 'Lookup coordinates' form. I am using Yahoo both for maps and geocoding service. I updated the database correctly (maps and semantic maps are displaying normally). My Coordinates field looks like : {{{field|Coordinates|input type=yahoomaps|zoom=10}}} Any idea what could be going on ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23767 --- Comment #4 from Jack D. Pond jack.p...@psitex.com 2010-06-08 20:52:52 UTC --- In answer to your questions: 1. The error(warning) is only generated into the phperrors.log 2. It manifests itself because (regardless), on successful login you're always taken back to main page. I think Platonides probably has it right. Is there somewhere that OpenID is initializing $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] and if so, should it be initializing it as above? And if not, should it be formatting a query_string for IIS instead of assuming REQUEST_URI will do the job (as indidicated in http://davidwalsh.name/iis-php-server-request_uri)? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 23850] New: Include subpages of Common.js to Common.js
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23850 Summary: Include subpages of Common.js to Common.js Product: MediaWiki Version: 1.16-svn Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: Javascript AssignedTo: d...@ucsc.edu ReportedBy: e...@wp.pl CC: tpars...@wikimedia.org Currently there is a missleading message on any subpage of Common.js e.g. [[MediaWiki:Common.js/abc]]. BUT! I wouldn't like to see this fixed, but see this come true :-). If all of the subpages of Common.js would get auto included for users it would greatly ease adding new modules. It would then be logical (and possible) to combine this scripts into one file and might lower server load. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23767 --- Comment #5 from Sergey Chernyshev sergey.chernys...@gmail.com 2010-06-08 21:23:35 UTC --- $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] is supposed to be initialized by PHP actually. REQUEST_URI apparently is not even used anywhere in OpenID extension or library - I grep'd the whole thing for it ;) So it's probably unrelated to OpenID. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23767 --- Comment #6 from Jack D. Pond jack.p...@psitex.com 2010-06-08 21:33:21 UTC --- I agree - grepped the whole thing too with same results. The only time I get this error is when I'm logging in using OpenID - otherwise it may be completely unrelated - unless of course OpenID assumes that the original URI can be passed in REQUEST_URI and does not use the QUERY_STRING to pass forward the parameters (as required for IIS). In any case this is undoubtedly an IIS related issue and the obvious answer to it is why are you using IIS, you dork!!! (a situation I intend to remedy sooner rather than later) I'm going to see if I can get someone to look and see if this is a global web request error, I think the above patch would fix webrequest, but don't want to add it until someone with more experience reviews. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23849 --- Comment #3 from Laurent Alquier laur...@alquier.org 2010-06-08 22:49:30 UTC --- Hi again It looks like I was looking at two issues : 1- The PHP error from Validator (which happens only when Yahoomaps is used as an input type in forms) 2- Maps form inputs not working at all. I think I found a solution to #2: If I replace $wgParser by $wgOut in line 43 of SM_YahooMapsFormInput.php, the form input is working again. With $wgParser, it stops working. MapsYahooMaps::addYMapDependencies( $wgOut ); I did the same to the OpenLayers form input and the map appears as expected, but there is no 'Lookup coordinates' button (can OpenLayers be used at all as a form input ?). I still have no clue as to what is causing #1. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23850 --- Comment #4 from Michael Dale d...@ucsc.edu 2010-06-08 23:49:41 UTC --- In response to Nux, there is work underway to support what your getting at. Although the specific of transclution in js space won't happen. The scriptloader would let you include use a line in your common.js like: if( wgPageName == 'somePageThatNeedsMyModule' ){ mw.load( 'Some', 'Dependencies', 'WT:MediaWik:Mw.MyModule.js'){ // Your module is now available var MyModule = new mw,MyModule( { /* MyWikiConfigForMyModule */ } MyModule.updateUI(); }); } This way a single top level script contains all the configuration and included modules for a given wiki and any module set used in a given context is requested as a single package of javascript and css. If multiple modules are used in a given context your loader call could include both modules Some documentation was generated per gadget usage of this system in bug 23809 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
