When datalists are used only those pages were shown, which start with the exact namespace, i. e., typing User: didn't show any page, Benutzer: showed only pages of male or neutral users, Benutzerin: only pages of females. After I disabled datalists all three could be used to show any userpage as it should be. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27745 kevin ul2006kev...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|Column number sorting |References in column affect ||sorting --- Comment #4 from kevin ul2006kev...@gmail.com 2011-10-20 12:15:13 UTC --- I have just been told that this is NOT a bug. The reference tag at the end of a number makes the software think it is text, rather than a number, and thus sorts it lexically rather than by value. Although it is technically not a bug, it is still something that should be changed IMO. Every table on Wikipedia that has a reference should not be forced to use hidden sorting templates to make it sort correctly. I believe reference tags should be excluded, so that the software ignores them and sorts the data by value as if they were not there. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

Is there any reason you are loading the QUnit module directly from the resource loader constructor? It would be better placed in includes/specials/SpecialJavaScriptTest.php constructor. [Bug 31845] New: Anonymous users see sysop links due to UserID cookie
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31845 Web browser: --- Bug #: 31845 Summary: Anonymous users see sysop links due to UserID cookie Product: MediaWiki Version: 1.16.2 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Unprioritized Component: User login AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: remcocdeb...@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified When the createaccount right has been reserved for sysops, regular users only see the 'login' link when they arrive at the wiki, not the 'login/create account' link. I have encountered situations (not sure why, don't care much why either) in which some cookies lingered after a session expired. In particular, for a user with sysop rights the UserName and UserID cookies remained, while the session and Token cookies had disappeared. The problem here is the UserID cookie: whenever that cookie is present, the (now anonymous!) user is greeted with a 'login/create account' link instead of only a 'login' link. Steps to reproduce: 0. Set $wgGroupPermissions['*']['createaccount'] = false; result: anonymous user sees Login link instead of Login/Create account 1. Log in as a user with sysop rights 2. Delete the session and Token cookies from your system. Ensure the UserID cookie remains. 3. Refresh the page (F5) result: the (now anonymous) user sees Login/Create account link. Should be Login. Note that, even though the wrong link is displayed, the user is still not able to create an account. 4. Delete the UserID cookie 5. Refresh the page (F5) result: the (still anonymous) user correctly sees only the Login link again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 31838] |zh-tw still gives simplified Chinese in link titles on Facebook and Google
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31838 Christian Neubauer seventow...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||seventow...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Christian Neubauer seventow...@gmail.com 2011-10-20 17:24:43 UTC --- The suggestion in the thread was to not include rel=canonical on zh-tw or zh-hk pages since they don't really fit the definitions listed here: https://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=189077. Specifically, M. Williamson said: Umm what the link actually says is this: This is recommended in the following scenarios: - You translate only the template of your page, such as the navigation and footer, and keep the bulk of your content in a single language. This is common on pages that feature user-generated content. - Your page targets users in multiple regions (for example, en-us, en-uk, and en-ie), but each regional version differs only in small details, such as the currency used. Neither of these are true; the entire contents of the whole page are different (therefore the first scenario does not apply), and Simplified vs. Traditional is a non-trivial difference not at all analogous to small details such as the currency used (therefore the second scenario does not apply either). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. The intention of that list is essentially to tell you that it's incorrect to use the hreflang pattern if the entire contents are human translated. In other words, they're saying that it's incorrect to use this pattern to point rel=canonical to en.wp, hreflang=de to de.wp, hreflang=ja to ja.wp, etc... because the content on various pages is not guaranteed to actually be the same thing because it's written by different communities and because manual updates can be desynced. Google does not want to send users two different pages when one is manually translated and may be out of date. Conversion of language scripts used by the whole content is NOT mentioned on that page in a way to imply anything without asking directly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. For one, the default text depends on the user language. Secondly users can enter a custom toggle and collapse text through data-attributes. And third, it can also be an image or an entirely different element. So setting a width doesn't make sense. BTW: Since I was still using width: 70px; on my user CSS, I noticed it broke the formatting of my watchlist, because the toggle is an image there. But, wouldn't the following be a solution? (In reply to comment #4) Wouldn't be possible for the script itself to check the length of the collapsible toggle text and set the fixed width accordingly? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. On the file page though MW shows: Jan_Wróbel_-_Koniec_świata_nastąpi_(wideo).ogv (Invalid ogg file: Cannot decode Ogg file: Invalid page at offset 1088569774) which is a bit suspicious. The inline player for me is firing up an audio rather than a video, probably since it doesn't have width/height info... looks kinda like it is loading the file, but it doesn't show any video since it's an audio.
