Try the URL in Google Chrome - i uninstalled the Lohit Oriya font, and now i see squares there. Firefox successfully loads a fallback font, but Chrome doesn't. Not really.
The only possible way I have found to get the answer to the question is to
combine two queries.
{{#ask:[[Subcategory of::+]]
|?Subcategory of
|format=broadtable
|limit=9
}}
and
{{#ask:[[Category:x]]
|?Category
|format=broadtable
|limit=9
}}
Both of these do in my opinion not provide the data I would expect.
The sub category query only shows categories, and not pages.
The Category one shows only pages, but not categories.
So it is not really possible to provide a query to treeview to perform the
expected result.

Directly speaking, the bug is due to a bad loop in the WebFonts module.
Indirectly speaking it's caused by Twinkle modifying the browsers' native
constructors prototypes, which is kind a against our conventions, but shouldn't
break anything like this.

At the top banner it shows the boxes in all the modes. I think it might be the problem of the font itself. My wiki has a namespace called "Namespace". When I execute
{{#ask:[[Namespace:+]]}} I receive duplicated results (4x):

Looking at another bug, it occurs to me that there's possibly duplicate ids on
the smwid table. All these pages were inserted via import, maybe that is at the
root of a problem. I can't say for certain but i don't think I imported these
pages more than once. I am using mw 17 & smw 1.6.1 on this laptop.

Oh, I just took a closer look at the template you linked. You mean that if the
sortkey (prefix) for a category contains page-relative variables ({{PAGENAME}},
{{SUBPAGENAME}}, etc) they aren't updated on page move.
I vaguely remember this being discussed when the new category stuff was being
implemented. I don't really know what a good way of detecting that the
sortkeyprefix depends on page name would be.

I was able to reproduce it. I used Firefox 8.0.1 on OSX 10.7.2.
1. Log on to https://hi.wikipedia.org
2. Go to https://hi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences?uselang=en
3. Click tab "Gadgets"
4. Enable only "Twinkle" in the section "सम्पादन उपकरण" and click "Save" at the
bottom of the page.
5. Goto

Adding "?debug=true" causes the JavaScript to not be minified, allowing proper
analysis. I do not know how to continue from here...
Observed: JavaScript error "Node cannot be inserted at the specified point in
the hierarchy" as mentioned in comment 4.
This is the piece of code that the error originates from (line number may
differ):

With web fonts disabled (preference in tab "Appearance") the error does not
occur. With Twinkle disabled, the error also does not occur.
The web developer debugger also states that the use of getAttributeNode() is
discourages and that getAttribute() should be used. Probably not related.
I'm adding a ZIP file with the 10k lines of script in case it helps...
