He reported twice (bug 34512 and bug 34381) that a newly created account was not reachable. Sometime the local account had the user was not attached to the central account. He had to manually request a new password and then merge the account. In some cases the automatically created account did not even have an email address. Rendering that user account useless. Bug 34512 is a perfect example. Both accounts on ru.wikiversity.org and kk.wiktionary.org are neither listed on https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MergeAccount nor on https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:CentralAuth/Axpde. One possibility, is that during account creation no userinfo is returned form the CentralAuth database. In such case, we should abort user creation. No, proper scripting language is certainly preferred to string functions in wikitext and I cannot imagine what must happen so we reconsider this. At WikiMania 2011 Tim changed his mind several times on the best solution including Lua, parser functions, Victor's scripting extension. Lua is an almost-final choice, made by consensus of WMF developers. Even if we change the language, the current plan is to develop infrastructure which is language-independent (so we can just plug in a different language backend without rewriting anything else). Or maybe we should change this bug to provide some form of string handling, and soon because otherwise we might have Lua kicking around for another 6 years and still be no further forward. Hello,
I configured the extension and it works. Thanks for the extension.
Also I configured the word suggestion with enchant and did the steps to create
the dictionary file. But it does not work - no suggestion is displayed.
I analyzed the issue and found that in the SphinxMWSearch.php file the follwing
line can be executed enchant_broker_set_dict_path($broker, ENCHANT_MYSPELL,
dirname( __FILE__ )); but the next instruction don't find the dictionary (
if ( enchant_broker_dict_exists( $broker, 'sphinx' ) ) { ) and therefore no
suggestion is found.
Do you know how can be continue investigate the issue?

Rainer, have you seen this same bad behavior elsewhere on commons? If a user causes a e-mail notification (by editing another user's talk page,
for example) and the edit summary used contains a template ({{foo}}, for
example), the template will be expanded in the notification e-mail.
A snippet from a recent e-mail notification from the English Wikipedia where
the edit summary originally contained {{User page}} (get rid of it if you
want). Consider it to be a suggestion.:

I played around with
https://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:ENotif_expansion_test to see if you
could fool an e-mail client into using the wrong subject line. It seems my
e-mail client (Microsoft Entourage) is smart enough to not be fooled, at least.
Between the unsanitized HTML and the ability to insert header lookalikes, this
feels very dirty. I haven't yet been able to exploit this template expansion
with my e-mail client, but I'm not so sure I trust other e-mail clients (cf.
bug 25231) to behave reasonably.
There's no real point in the template expansion of the edit summaries, as far
as I can tell. I think it should be removed, though this may upset people if
they've been relying on the behavior as a hack of some kind.

I believe it is completely optional. Unfortunately I don't know how these filters work or what is triggering what precisely... That means that if someone uploads a specifically crafted KML file and an unsuspecting IE6 user downloads it, that the machine of the IE6 user can be compromised. Our IE6 content filter protects against the uploading of any content that would trigger any of the 15 or so strings that will convince IE6 that something is HTML, even though it isn't. So uploading a JPEG with head in the EXIF at the start of the file, would also trigger the filter and not allow you to upload that file. But it wouldn't have been the first time that commons doubled up on a ui message because it got both the 'local' and the 'shared' variant of it, that's why I added it in the ticket as an initial investigation hint.
