I'd agree with all except removing the salt. I'd prefer that the editing token
not also work for creating accounts and deleting articles, but unfortunately I
don't have too much of a reason because the reasons for giving per-request
tokens in the browser interface don't apply to the API.

not allowed as a special page parameter when redirecting.  

This is particularly useful for Special:MyPage.  However, there is one hook,
RedirectSpecialArticleRedirectParams, that controls this for all special pages.

Adding 'tour' should not pose a security problem, since tour JavaScript is
limited to the MW namespace and extension code, which are only modifiable by
trusted users.

I'm issuing this request:

?action=query&export=&exportnowrap&titles=SusData:testpage&redirects=

and the content of element  is all one long
line.

I also tried it by getting a revision with the following:

?action=query&prop=revisions&rvprop=content&rvlimit=1&titles=SusData:testpage&redirects=&format=xml

Newlines are preserved with format=xmlfm, but, NOT with format=xml.  Using
xmlfm would require two parsings of the output, one for HTML and a second for
XML.

I don't know of a workaround, but would like to know if there is one.

I seems that MFResourceLoaderModule doesn't support dependencies (adding
'dependencies' key has no effect), but mobile.beta.dependencies module depends
on mobile.startup (specifically mf-application.js). It's possible that it works
in other browsers just by coincidence (mobile.startup is loaded fast enough for
mobile.beta.dependencies to work).

Getting "mw.mobileFrontend is undefined". I'm not sure why this is happening

And do you mean the png or the jpg thumbnail of the tiff (we support both. Jpg
is the default).

Its possible that different sharpening is applied to tiffs than to jpgs (not
sure off the top of my head. I would be surprised though). Its also possible

Because we already have a ton of stuff in various layers of cache that we can't
just get rid of (so there's the short term first). And certain things can't use
mw.loader.load yet because of other issues, and it isn't without controversy to
start linking to /skins/ instead of /skins-{version}/, afterall we version
these for a reason. Blinding linking to version A from output of wiki on
version B can cause all sorts of undocumented trouble.

And there's maybe some layout reason or semantic reason for certain references
to be in HTML instead of CSS.

It appears that TIFs are slightly less focused (more blurred) than their JPG
equivalent.

My bot uploaded these two files:

The JPG one was converted from the tif with imagemagick (python):

Although the jpg is 97% of the tif quality, it appears to have better quality.

Am I mistaken or is there a reason for this?

If ErrorPageError::__construct was passed a Message object, we'd need to clone
it before changing its properties. But if it was passed a string then
ErrorPageError::render() creates a fresh Message object anyway so it seems to
work fine in a quick test.

Under ideal circumstances I'd recommend this:
* drop all uses of token salt -- use the same token for all things in the
session
* return the token in the login response along with the session key
* have a single method for fetching the token (if using saved login cookies,
for instance)

Okay, how does that gotta do with caWP when the google page is clearly in
french, the domain is http://www.google.cat but the page is in french, so it
dosen't really matter what domain but they should change the URL  to

My I5d2a4e7e that simply removed the file was -2'd by Tim: "Unless someone can
tell me why the bug Bawolff describes in comment 3 really is impossible to fix,
this is a -2 for me.".

The summary of this should probably be reworded, but I'll leave that to someone
who knows what they are doing.

(Raising severity to major, as this kind of breaks the feature of using ICU to
collate category elements.)

This mirrors the PHP parser's behavior, and makes sense from a UI perspective
too. We need to remember the original (non-normalized) target source, but this
is likely already covered with the shadowing we have. The link text contains
the interwiki prefix, and should match with the original target so that a
simple wiki link like [[mw:Foo]] will round-trip properly.

What are you talking about when you say "break the layout"? That sounds a bit
exaggerate ;)

I agree we're still supporting Internet Explorer 6.0, but here we're talking
about rounded borders, opacity and shadows. In fact, we're talking only about
rounded borders and shadows, because opacity is supported since Firefox 0.9
[1].

They're not a critical feature and I don't feel this would cause any layout
issues at all, like misalignments or things like that.

We need to collect various meta info like the page title, revision id etc- very
similar to the  structure in
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Export/OLPC. To make our life easy and
provide some abstraction vs. the serialization, we can use an env.page.meta
object for this purpose. This can then be passed to a 'buildHead' method for
the in-DOM-head serialization. Later on we might want to keep some of that info
out of the DOM, which can be done without changing all internal users of this
meta info.

Merged.

Marking this as fixed; it will probably still break if someone tries to, say,
link to gitweb, but that's because gerrit's "regexes" make this pretty much
impossible to implement properly like it was done for Bugzilla's parser.

When focused. It's important for search usability for the search input to be
large enough to accommodate practically anything the user would input into
