The bots project did get started for a while so that will probably stay around and/or migrate slowly towards the new properly managed tools infrastructure. The webtools project however, as far as I know, never really got very far beyond discussion and experimentation. To avoid further decentralisation, I'm closing this bug. Whatever did happen on webtools is, as far as I know, to be deprecated / become obsolete and be moved to the tools project. It's not hard, even wikis with a thousandth of pt.wiki's userbase are forced (and usually able) to organise a vote yes/not. In almost 5 months, no consensus has been shown for the emergency captcha becoming permanent, and some discussions linked even seemed to ask something else (e.g. a restriction only for IPs and not registered users). From Gerrit 2.5 release-notes, the drafts do not send patchset-created events so they should not trigger any job. When they are published we have a new `draft-published` event which is essentially the same as patchset-created. The extension code is already available on the beta cluster since the extension
is registered as submodule of mediawiki/extensions.git
If one would like to enable it, that should be done in the
operations/mediawiki-config.git repository.
In wmf-config/InitialiseSettings.php create a global setting to easily
enabled/disable the extension:
$wmgUseNamespaceRelations = array(
'default' = false,
);
Actually use the setting in wmf-config/CommonSettings.php :
if( $wmgUseNamespaceRelations ) {
include $IP/extensions/NamespaceRelations/NamespaceRelations.php;
}
Finally enable the setting on labs in wmf-config/InitialiseSettings-labs.php
add in the wmfLabsSettings() array:

'default' = true,
)
The '-' in front of the name instruct to override whatever settings production
might have, since I guess we will always want the extension to be enabled.
Then submit for review, get someone to merge it and it will self deploy via the
job
