The inability to edit one's watchlist has been mentioned a two or three times, with two or three of the heaviest users acknowledging that they'd experienced the issue each time. I solved my personal problem with it by no longer using the default option of watching all items I edit. That means I rarely add principal namespace pages to my watchlist.
