Well, and also whether if it won't be reverted by another shell user. :) Considering that we now have proof that the all-edits CAPTCHA didn't affect vandalism, but merely reduced (a lot) both good and bad edits, adding it would directly and blatantly contradict the WMF strategic plan (participation goal). The strategy is at board level and not even WMF staff, but in this case the interpretation of it seems simple: it doesn't directly apply to everyone, though (e.g. pt.wiki probably doesn't care), so perhaps a volunteer shell user would be more confident about ignoring it; unless someone (the CTO?) redefines the strategy's interpretation... On a community/general point of view, there's still much more to say about this request but the discussion is continuing at all levels so I'll leave it for later. The funny thing is that all maintenance scripts makes --wiki as a possible
parameter, even though the above code might not yet have been set. That
requirement should be removed totally, but that deserves another bug to be
filed and is not part of this.
Somebody should put this on MediaWiki.org.

As the description says it would be helpful sometimes if the magic word
{{int:}} would allow for an additional parameter which accepts an ISO 639
language code and translates the interface message to this user supplied
language instead of the currently set user language.
Something analogous to
{{#language:language code|target language code}}
Sadly
{{int:interface message|target language code}}
isn't possible though, since {{int:}} already accepts parameters to be inserted
into the interface message. Some thought has to be put in how to best specify
the language code therefore.

Given that there is no sane way to extend {{int:}} syntax and that no
compelling use case has been provided, I don't think that this will be
implemented.
There are already other ways to do this, either with Lua or parser functions
using {{MediaWiki:interface message/code}}.

I'm provably being a little rude here, but honestly, it's so frustration to think that my community went to several wiki discussions, irc discussions, got stressed, and in the end, it was for nothing because what was valid and a sugested solution on April, now it's not. And this brings an important point on a collaborative project. If things aren't clear and transparent, and there is not a mutual respect, it's condemned to failure, and we all should remember this point. Like many others said, there's been on wiki discussions, this situation has been discussed on bug 41745, so if it was such a violation, why didn't anyone reported yet, on the bug, or even on the wiki discussions? Click Fonts 7. Select other content and/or UI fonts 8. Confirm selection by clicking the button Apply settings 9. Check the contents of the text area. Expected: I. sdsdsd still present in text area Observed: II. Same as expected, i.e. works for me. Can you please indicate if this is the correct scenario? In firefox, press F12 once page is loaded, developer tools will open up, take console. In the console tab, press the Persist button, next to Clear. 3. Do the font selection, as per your report the page reloads. If the console has any errors reported, please let us know.
