I wasn't able to find any documentation on how to set it up. I figured out that you had to set the $wgMFNearby global to true in order for the special page to load. (I added this to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MobileFrontend#Configuration_settings). Of course it still doesn't do anything besides load an empty page though. How do you make a page's geodata discoverable to Special:Nearby? Do I need to install Extension:GeoData? The fix being to patch the library as Tim suggested, or push it through something like imagemagick to see if it normalises/fixes the error the PHP EXIF code doesn't like. If the list above is complete then I'll run the images through imagemagick and see if I can upload them afterwards. 3f5d41d4135740573f642 (bug 32987) introduced support for lang= on localised
SVGs.
