I work with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and OmniWeb 5.11.2. Since today OmniWeb *always* crashes when I enter the search field (or any other field I could enter some text). I presume that little type writer symbol does all this work… It is visible here in Safari and can be switched off. Nevertheless I'd wish to have back the non-invasive Internet from 20 years ago! The type writer symbol does not appear in OmniWeb so I cannot switch off this … Besides, on Mac OS X such stuff as this type writer is not needed. And I wonder whether some Linux version exists which would need this thing! I'm not sure if we should reuse featured. featured can be confusing,
because it comes with predefined messages. MediaWiki:Ffeed-featured-title is
set to {{SITENAME}} featured articles feed by default, and on
TranslateWiki.Net the message is translated accordingly.
On the other hand I'm convinced that wotd (in the current patch) is not
ideal, as dewiktionary's seems more like Word of the Week.
How about featuredwords instead, similar to featuredtexts for Wikisource?

Even if we chose a more appropriate label (e.g. the suggested more it's kinda redundant: People are used to the feature that tools which do not fit into the toolbar are hidden behind a small icon at the end of the toolbar. Almost every software does this! Therefore for the majority of people the triangle is crystal clear! Finally if you want to argue that there are still some people who do not find those additional actions hidden behind an arrow: Remember that those actions in the drop-down are *advanced* features. Most users never need them! And even then, do we really want users to use those advanced tools, if they are not even able to *find* them to start with? All in all regarding the monstrous size that our toolbar already has I'd rather leave the label out as it always was. The list of admin emails is really only a 'who gets notifications and who gets listed on the home page' list. The real thing you need is the admin password. There is only 1 admin password (the master password gets us in but obviously I can't give that to you ;) ) so the options are that I can reset the password and send it to both you and SJ or SJ can add your email and give you the current password. The strong strong preference historically is for this to be an SJ thing and he adds you and gives you the password. This is mostly because SJ 'owns' [as much as you own a community list obviously] the list at the moment as the only admin and so I'd rather not override him unless we need to or unless there has been consensus on the mailing list. Most users never need them! And even then, do we really want users to use those advanced tools, if they are not even able to *find* them to start with? Moving pages is not a very advanced feature. And yes, we definitely want users to use it instead of copy-pasting page contents (even if they completely botch the page move, it's easier to fix than a copy-paste move). over to the public server, and bug 65978 had a fix that looks like it
could fix that issue as well, I'll wait if the 2014-05-{08,09} files get

On a managed server trying to indtall MW 1.22.7, I cannot connect to the DB. On the command line, I have to use format : mysql -u user -S /tmp/mysql5.sock -p database But I cannot seem to use a socket format for the database name in setup e.g. localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock Hopefully, this patch helps (I will see if I can try it).
