The page will be listed at /w/index.php?title=special:newpagesnamespace=2tagfilter=username=Ahidebots=1limit=1 ) * Later they move the page to the main namespace; but the page will still be listed as a userpage in special:newpages. (won't show up in /w/index.php?title=special:newpagesnamespace=0tagfilter=username=Sadidafarinhidebots=1limit=1 (notice to namespace=0 in query)) The problem is that most of the patrollers only follow newpages in the main namespace and won't notice the new article of user:A that has been created by move. In the end we settled for short and snappy summaries, using the idea that people making quick edits shouldn't have to spend 30 seconds or so writing an edit summary when they only spent 5 seconds on the edit screen. That's led to the buttons being quite short and it's probably safe to wrap them around. I'm also changing the title to make the nature of this bug more clear and to I'm adding Luis to the CC list. There are least two workable solutions described here since 2012: 1. Create strings with license information at the head of JavaScript files that are included in Mediawiki. This can be done immediately and will solve the issue. 2. Add bang comments as Erik described in late 2012 and which seems to be a standard used important comments used in other JavaScript programs. This will involve modifying the minimizer ot make sure that these important comments are preserved. The benefit of 2 is that we can use that method to also add support for licensing for content Javascript under the wiki's license (e.g., MediaWiki:Common.j on Wikipedia). But really, either of these would be fine.
