For background information RTL+LTR and RTL+RTL, this old W3C document is still useful http://www.w3.org/TR/arabic-math/ -- just keep in mind that it's about MathML 2 -- MathML 3 now supports RTL/LTR fully. It is fantastic but not very related, this bug is about making math equation left aligned like what we use in our books.
