I think the only way this can really be supported is if/when forms can be generated on the fly from just a Page Schemas XML schema. +1, this could also make it easier for people creating and maintaining forms,
as less work is needed to make them look good.
Maybe something like {{{field|city|label=City}}}, giving label
for=input_1City/labelinput id=input_1 ...
