In the fix for bug 59180 we made the group have a placeholder (default text)
that says General references (in English), which should discourage this
enough – marking as FIXED, though happy to discuss better ways to improve this
if you want to re-open (or create a new bug).

I think this may cause also the following problem:

At this page:
https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_MacLise
There is one reference in group p, but the VE engine sais here:
https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_MacLise#Pozn.C3.A1mky

there is no group p!

The group parameter is necessary if you have multiple reference lists, which
is uncommon but is used some times. Re-wording to make clearer.
