AdHuikeshoven added a comment. I like the idea to have the interlanguage links top right, on the same line as the title, with a drop down menu. For new users when they would see interlanguage link on a talk page they might expect to see a translation of the talk page. Only user testing will tell. So probably linking to the article is less confusing. [Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] [Commented On] T93375: vagrant default wiki is not in interwiki table / sites table which means it can not be linked in wikidata
AdHuikeshoven added a comment. After enabling Flow I ended up with a small wiki farm. After enabling role interwiki I could manage interwiki links at the page special:interwiki. That might help in the wikidata role as well.
