Noticed another weird thing:

wdref:3e56175e78d06d8aa0e98bcac8dcfa800d1d82d2 on some servers has only one statement (wdq3) while on others has proper set of statements, e.g. see: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:EntityData/Q15813111.ttl?nocache=1525896723343=dump

Not sure what's going on there... Thinking more about it, I see a flaw in the cleanup process. Right now we are using this query:

DELETE { ?s ?p ?o } WHERE {
  VALUES ?s { %values% }

However, if we have changed statement referring to reference R, which refers to value V, it is not clear that the query will delete both R and V, since there's still reference to V from R, even though R will be deleted at the end. 
We may need to split it into two queries.

On further research, the immediate cause of the message is a small logical error in our code when calculating updates.

When we look which values and references we have in our database, we check it by mentions in other predicated, however we do not check that the actual reference/node exists.

If there is a situation where statement S refers to reference R, which refers to value V in TTL, but R does not actually exist in the database, then we will think R is already in the database since the mention is there, but when parsing V we will consider it unrecognized since R is not processed, presumably because it already exists.

@Liuxinyu970226 not completely sure right now, TBH it sounds like an issue inside either the Android web client or inside the API that it uses. @Charlotte and @bearND / @Tgr should hopefully be better equipped to determine the root cause of the problem and which team(s) is best placed to fix this.

TASK DESCRIPTIONReferences are becoming more and more important on Wikidata. Would be nice to track the number of (unique) references to indication on how well an item is sourced. This task is very similar to T114617

Let's take https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q50626475 . Looking at the rdf at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:EntityData/Q50626475.rdf the item has two references (same url, but different date of retrieved). That's also what https://query.wikidata.org/sparql?query=SELECT%20DISTINCT%20%3Fprovenance%20WHERE%20%7B%0A%20%20wd%3AQ50626475%20%3Fproperty%20%3Fstatement%20.%0A%20%20%3Fstatement%20prov%3AwasDerivedFrom%20%3Fprovenance%0A%20%20%7D%20LIMIT%20100%0A%20%20 returns. The field should contain 2 here for this item.

The interface for Crotos (http://zone47.com/crotos/ ) suggests a number of good ways to do this: 
*first as someone searches in the search bar, it suggests what properties/statements you might be wanting to interact with based on the frequency within the term
*As you start to get first results, you can browse some core metadata (including creator and depicts) in the down carrot drop menu which become additional facets for interacting with search results (and get displayed near the search bar as check box components).

CHANGES TO TASK DESCRIPTION...I can think of 23 different options for implementing searching on quantity...Use the Wikidata Query Service (WDQS) to run a SPARQL query (which allows operators like `>` and `<`), and then use the ids as a filter for an elasticsearch query - basically we'd ask WDQS for all pictures depicting 'cat' with quantity qualifier >1, then search elasticsearch for anything else we wanted to search for but only among the (max 1000) IDs we got from WDQS.

The deepcat feature uses WDQS with elasticsearch, so we could base our approach on the deepcat code (see https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/405059/)

Option 2 seems (to me) to be more practically useful3

As I have to do a schema change on s8 soonish I wanted to include this one too.

But I wanted to make sure I understood this issue correctly. There is no code referencing this index so it can be dropped anytime? This index doesn't exist anywhere on code (or tables definition), right?

It is 'just' something that was added ad-hoc on production without referencing it in tables definitions or anything?
