Sounds like an interesting idea. It might be easier to do a static set and measure how that evolves.

Not sure if it will add much to the general discussions, these are generally mixed with many marginally important factors. I think we should add full value nodes for math values, with a structure a bit like this:...Side note: the “math” datatype currently seems to be missing completely from the [RDF Dump Format](https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikibase/Indexing/RDF_Dump_Format) page – once we’ve implemented this, we should rectify that.

Hi - my most recent response was following MisterSynergy's comment on Denny's proposed questions, and specifically the meaning of "processes that in bulk extract facts from Wikipedia articles," - it sounds like from subsequent discussion that we are not talking solely of automated "processes", so I think I echo MisterSynergy's comment that the question needs to be better defined to "describe how these processes look like". On the one hand there's overall averages, with less than one "fact" per wikipedia article; on the other hand the distribution is probably quite wide, with some articles having dozens of "facts" extracted from them. CHANGES TO TASK DESCRIPTION...Side note: the “math” datatype currently seems to be missing completely from the [RDF Dump Format](https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikibase/Indexing/RDF_Dump_Format) page – once we’ve implemented this, we should rectify that.

I have encountered the issue today. The extension relies on grunt-contrib-qunit which depends on phantomjs-prebuild and run qunit tests with PhantomJS.  The tests are under tests/qunit:

I've seen a lot of data re-engineering going on around the wb_terms SQL table recently.
The WDCM system also experiences some problems when fetching from this table (check the WDCM dashboards and you will spot too many missing labels for quite frequently used items - while the WDCM R code itself didn't change) .
As soon as I'm done with Cognate/Wiktionary (T166487), I will take a look at the state in which the wb_terms table is found at the present moment, and then suggest a solution for this.
This is not the first time that I am about to state the following (c.f. T193969#4185028): we are in obviously in the Big Data segment here, which would imply SQL must go. It was not meant to be.

TASK DESCRIPTIONCurrently, we only export the MathML representation of a formula to RDF, not the original TeX string (T126349). This makes it impossible to efficiently query for statements with a certain math value – you have to use REGEX (CONTAINS is not enough, because the TeX annotation embedded in the MathML is not identical to the original TeX string). It also means that any external application that wants to use the TeX string based on the RDF export must use an XML parser to analyze the MathML and extract the TeX annotation.

I think we should add full value nodes for math values, with a structure a bit like this:

I think this is misc. queries getting downloaded, but not the displayed one. Way to reproduce: Run a query, click "Show" in the "Query Helper" on the left, download the result.

So basically the same thing as T193861: WDQS UI reports absurd query runtime if auxiliary queries are run concurrently with the main query – auxiliary queries being mixed up with the main query, except this time it affects the download instead of the runtime? TASK DESCRIPTIONCurrently, to add a spelling variant for lemmas and representations, we use a list of language codes. This list is stored separately from items, and is based on the list used by Wikimedia for the projects (Wikipedias, etc.). It is a different list from the one we use for monolingual text.

With the Lexeme, we already have people wanting to add more codes (frm, cu-cyrl, etc.) and we expect this demand to increase in the near future.

Current problems:


People have to request for a language code individually
We have to maintain the list by hand


Needs:


Let people enter the language code that they think is appropriate for lemmas and representations
Avoid mistakes and wrong choices
Have a list that is easier to maintain
The process to add new languages in the list should be quick and transparent


Possible solutions:


instead of a separated list, take the list of item that have instance of/subclass of language
merge the existing list with the monolingual text list

The patch for the tag cloud bug seems to also have fixed the "Rate limit exceeded" error. As the tag cloud bug may have called the WDQS the double number of times I suppose that this could explain why we no longer see the problem.
