This discussion was frustrating from the start and obviously not going 
anywhere. I think I already said multiple times that this bug is not about 
"false precision", whatever that means in the context of the given examples, 
but about respecting what the user entered. There is nothing "false" when I 
enter "24+-10". There is no "error" in my input the formatter must magically 
"correct", with no way out. Why is it so hard to understand the obvious example 
in https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T95425#1601799?
