  I would slightly lean towards A, but both sound okay to me.
  
  The only other tracking I can find is in `QueryExampleDialog`, which is 
outside of “app” (`wikibase.queryService.ui.examples`) and can probably stay as 
it is. (`Banner.js` has a very misleadingly named `trackingNamespace` that 
turns out to be unrelated to Graphite tracking.)

  After discussing this more, we found that the metrics were actually moved for 
T272128: Fix tracking for query service UI  
, but too many metrics were moved.
  
  The actual change in 704365  affects 
only the metrics collected in ResultView.js, however, also the metrics 
collected in App.js were moved.
  
  There are now two ways forward:
  
  - Option A: Adjusted the metrics gathered in App.js to include `.index` in 
the metric name for the sake of consitency and move the data collected since 
July '21 again.
  - Option B: Move/delete the data of the App.js metrics so that it can only be 
found under its metrics name without `.index` in it

  @noarave and I are looking through this and it is confusing but we made 
//some// progress.
  
  While we assumed that adding `.index` to the tracking namespace in 704365 
 caused the 
metrics collected to so far to also include that, it seems that the 
**opposite** is the case?

  //Until// that patch was deployed, the metrics name //did// include index 
between `ui.` and `app.`, and those metrics //stopped// to have any data after 
the deploy. Also, it is worth noting that all the metrics that stopped tracking 
seem to be in App.js, and //not // in ResultsView.js
  
  However, the actual metrics that seemingly stopped tracking in App.js, never 
ever included any `.index` or `.embed` in their metric name. And if we track 
them under their actual name, then we see them as we expect them to see them, 
without interruption:

  My //speculation// is that `.index` is kind of a stand-in for the cases where 
`.*` in a metric name matches basically the empty string, unless `.index` 
literally exists in a metric in that place? Seems a strange thing to do, but 
I'm really not sure why we would have tracked with `.index` until that day and 
then when it was added in one place stopped that tracking in other places.
  
  The notable exception is tracking of `restore`, which only picks up in 
october '21 without `.index`, but is present till july with `.index` ?!? This 
will need some more looking into.
