  @agray It wouldn't completely auto-select an entity but rather just make the 
"Publish" button immedeately availible when there is an single exact entity 
result. This way you can still type in IDs manually and only press enter to 
publish the edit when you're ready.

  This would be useful for copy-pasting, but how would it interact with people 
manually typing IDs?
  
  It's not very common, but especially for very short/frequently used IDs (and 
definitely for properties), it can be easier to type eg "Q27" than "Republic of 
Ireland". Would the entity selector jump in if you hesitated after typing Q2... 
and decide to autoselect "Earth" instead?
  
  Similarly we have an item for the Q27 bus route (Q83516200) and I can see all 
sorts of confusion if typing that into an item selector and pausing autofills 
to Ireland. I can imagine that most of these are relatively minor collisions 
and only relevant for IDs with maybe 1-3 digits, but they're still a concern.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  **Feature summary** (what you would like to be able to do and where):
  I should not have to click the entity in the entity selector search results 
in order to publish it when a valid entity ID is typed. I should immediately be 
able to publish the edit.

  Notice that I cannot publish until the entity is selected.
  
  **Use case(s)** (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, 
and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not 
describe only a solution):
  I often add the same statement to many items by copying and pasting an entity 
ID instead of searching because it is faster. Having to select the entity every 
time when I already know what entity I'm trying to add is annoying.
  
  **Benefits** (why should this be implemented?):
  I will be able to edit faster.
