TASK DESCRIPTION
  **Steps to replicate the issue** (include links if applicable):
  
  - Open the Wikidata Query Service  on Chrome 
using a macOS computer [1]
  - Run an example query that requires some time to process (e.g. Streets named 
after a person 
)
  - Press CMD+ESC to try to stop the query
  
  **What happens?**:
  
  Using the keyboard shortcut doesn't cancel the query.
  
  **What should have happened instead?**:
  
  The query should stop when the keyboard combinations CTRL+ESC or CMD+ESC are 
used.
  
  **Software version** (on `Special:Version` page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis 
like Wikipedia):
  
  **Other information** (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
  
  [1] It is unclear if the issue can only be reproduced on macOS or if other 
operative systems also present it when using Chrome.
  
  Tested using macOS Sonoma 14.3 on Chrome v124.
