I think it's okay to drop it, unless anyone knows reason otherwise. :) Cheers, Katie Yea, drop it, i don't think anyone will miss it. -- daniel ___ Wikidata-l mailing list Wikidata-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikidata-l
[Wikidata-l] searching for images
Hoi Maria, At the time I promised you to write something about how you can search for images in languages like Guarani. I finally do but many things have changed for the better making it so much easier. What has changed is that we can now provide different functionalities as a result of a positive search result from Wikidata. - images from Commons (based on categories) - visual display of Wikidata data using the Reasonator - link to articles in other Wikipedias - obviously a link to the Wikidata item When one of the people you know is interested in writing something for Guarani, what we still need is a place to enter a search item in Gurarni. Actually it would be a nice to have for any language. As you know, the policy of the language committee has changed and any and all languages that are ISO 639-3 registered are eligible to function in Wikidata. A place where you can enter a search for a language could help any new languages as well. Maria, I cc the wikidata mailing list as well because grin I know there are many smart people subscribed to this list /grin they have often surprised me with a solution. I hope they will surprise us with good ideas and maybe even a working proto type.
