 Hi Balqis,

Yes, please do join the group; there is a section in the workgroup's
 charterhttp://wikieducator.org/Workgroup:Categorieswhere you can add
your name. Maybe we can work together to resurrect some
of the work that was started in 2009.

My preference is to use the talk pages to discuss issues and ideas. So that
we can be responsive to new posts on the talk pages, I suggest that you
activate the LQTemail gadget in my preferences, and also set all of the
workgroup pages to watch, by clicking the tab at the top of each page.
(When a new post is added to a talk page, this gadget issues an email to
users who have the page on their watchlist.)

I look forward to working with you.

When used in a well planned manner, category can facilitate systematic (and
micro level) branching out of a curriculum – which should be one of the

In my opinion, the current state of categories on WikiEducator is chaotic

 some structure to our offerings.

As a first step in this effort, I propose that we create Category:
Contents http://wikieducator.org/Category:Contents as the top (root)
level of the WE category system. My reasoning for this suggestion is that
the term Contents is easily understood by educators, generally, and also,
Wikipedia uses Contents as its top category, offering good precedent for
the choice (although most of the other Wikimedia projects use
Category:Categories as their top level). If you are interested, you can

Yes, I recall this - makes sense to me.

I have noticed, perhaps it is due to an extension (Jim...?), that
categories are much easier to add, or delete for each page.
