In any case I guess we will have to go somewhere else to get a complete set of London illustrated news scans. Those with UK public library membership should be able to access the ILN archives. At least the one I have through Westminster Libraries recently added a link to the ILN archives. I wonder if libraries around the country will be able to access this for free and provide online access for their members? Still doesn't help those outside the UK.
