This is a message to all Wikipedia and Wikimedia corporation personnel,
Wikipedia is declining. We need to do something to rejuvenate our project.
We need to remember our goal, to create a library of all human knowledge
and progress. Peoples view of the project is negative. Wikipedia has become
the butt of many jokes. We need to refocus. We need to have a massive PR
maneuver to change the public view of us. We need to put aside opinions,
beliefs, political, and language barriers and come together to achieve our
goal. This will lower vandalism.

I wanted to announce the creation of a new mailing list for Scottish
Wikimedians. This is part of an attempt to bring together existing
Scottish Wikimedians and encourage new contributors to participate in
what we hope will be an increasingly active Wikimedia community in
Scotland.
With the WiR-ship at the National Library of Scotland, and the
possibility of more WiRs at other organisations in Scotland, there
should be many more events and much more activity throughout the
country, and we're hoping that this mailing list will lead to even
more growth.
