Hi there, The Movement Charter Drafting Committee is happy to announce that the full draft of the Movement Charter will be published on April 2nd, 2024. This will kick off the community engagement period from April 2nd to April 22nd. The Movement Charter <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Movement_Charter> is a proposed document to define roles and responsibilities for all the members and entities of the Wikimedia Movement, including to lay out a new Global Council for movement governance. Everyone in the Wikimedia Movement is invited to share opinions on the full version of the Charter draft – this is the last chance to offer feedback before the Charter draft is updated for the ratification vote in June 2024. [Wikimedia-l] Movement Charter Ambassador Program: Invitation to apply by March 11
Hi everyone, We are happy to announce that interested groups from various Wikimedia communities can now apply to join the *Movement Charter Ambassador program <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Movement_Charter/Ambassadors_Program>*. This initiative aims to support the Movement Charter Drafting Committee in ensuring that the voices of communities that feel underrepresented are heard. This round of the MCA program encourages applicants to collaborate on a regional level and design activities in a way that encompasses several language communities. The Movement Charter Drafting Committee will share the full Movement Charter draft in April 2024. The selected MC Ambassadors for this round will be expected to conduct their activities from* March 25 to April 21* and submit their gathered feedback before April 22. Hi everyone, Following the Global Council draft that was published two weeks ago, it is my pleasure to announce that the Hubs draft chapter <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Movement_Charter/Content/Hubs> and the *Charter Glossary* <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Movement_Charter/Content/Glossary> is out for your review and feedback. It has been a long process for the Movement Charter Drafting Committee to deliver these drafts, and we are excited to share them with you.
