Thanks for the excellent  feedback.
I just came up with this  as I have not actively worked hands on for a
long long time.

Looking for people to collaborate and take this further.

1. Support for languages like Assamese/Punjabi is very much required.
2. The inscript keyboard option should be there for all the languages.
3. Let the user select the language name first, the keyboad option can
be given (phonetic/inscript) in the next screen.
4. A better user interface can be provided for the homepage.


 Hope soon someone will develop a device for this. Supporting all the Indian
 language scripts without any rendering issues will be a challenge. May be we
 may need to try the web font embedding technology.

 people access sites and query wikimedia content in Indian languages without
 having to worry about having to configure a language specific keyboard on a
 given PC.

 It would be great if you could also link to all the Wikimedia sites in
 that language after the screen key board is chosen.
